Easy Configuration Wizard for End to End Configuration
The SBC interface includes an Easy Configuration wizard, which enables end-users to quickly deploy SBC as well as SIP with IP Phones. Based on a template, you can configure items including endpoint (define user and provider), routing (routing configuration applied to scenario), and country (tone table parameters and emergency numbers for a particular country). Through this method, you can easily configure the SBC according to your topology.
The wizard produces different configuration options depending on the desired deployment.
The following configuration options are available for SBC 1000/2000 and SBC SWe Edge:
- SIP Trunk ↔ Microsoft on Premises
- SIP Trunk ↔ ISDN PBX
- SIP Trunk ↔ IP Phones
- SIP Trunk ↔ IP PBX
- ISDN PSTN ↔ Microsoft on Premises
- FXO ↔ Microsoft on Premises (available for SBC 1000 and FXO Analog only)
- SIP Trunk ↔ Microsoft Teams
- ISDN PSTN ↔ Microsoft Teams
- IP PBX ↔ Microsoft Teams
Easy Configuration for Single Leg Endpoint Configuration
The SBC Edge Portfolio also includes the Easy Configuration Wizard option to add a partially configured signaling group with a new single end-point scenario. For the single endpoint configuration, since the peer end is not known/configured, in the Easy Configuration Wizard, the Transformation and Routing entries for the endpoint being configured are independent of the peer end. The Transformation Tables and Routing Entries for the endpoint are configured in the Single Legged wizard if they are dependent (required) for the configured peer. If you have two endpoints connected and use the Single Leg Wizard to add the third endpoint, you need to create/modify the Transformation and Routing entries to complete routing.
Emergency configuration is not supported for single end scenarios.
The following configuration options are available for SBC 1000/2000 and SBC SWe Edge:
- Single Leg Endpoint for IP PBX
- Single Leg Endpoint for IP Phones
- Single Leg Endpoint for Microsoft On Premises
- Single Leg Endpoint for Microsoft Teams
- Single Leg Endpoint for SIP Trunk
- Single Leg Endpoint for FXO
- Single Leg Endpoint for ISDN/PSTN
