Overview
The SBC SWe Edge includes the Easy Configuration option to add a partially configured signaling group with a new single end-point scenario for a SIP Trunk.
The Configure Single Leg Wizard for SIP Trunk option applies to SBC SWe Edge only.
The SBC Easy Configuration interface includes a built-in, step-by-step setup configuration wizard to enable quick and easy deployment of a partially configured signaling group with a new single end-point scenario for a SIP Trunk. This deployment can be configured within various network configurations, such as Skype for Business/Lync or Teams in a Microsoft On Premises environment.
For the single end-point configuration, since the peer end if not known/configured, in the Easy Configuration Wizard, the Transformation and Routing entries for the endpoint being configured are created independent of the peer end. If you have two endpoints connected and use the Single Leg Wizard to add the third endpoint, you'll need to create/modify the Transformation and Routing entries to complete routing.
Easy Configuration Wizard - Single Leg Configuration Notes
- Use the single leg wizard to add a 3rd, 4th, or 5th peer to a device, when at least two legs are already configured via the standard Easy Configuration Wizard.
- Emergency configuration is not supported for single end scenarios.
Step 1: Select SIP Trunk Type
Easy Configuration Step 1 includes configuration for scenario parameters.
- In the WebUI, click the Tasks tab.
- In the left navigation panel, go to SBC Easy Setup > Easy Config Wizard.
From the Application drop down list, select SIP Trunk.
Configure per the field definitions below and click Next.
Configure Scenario Parameters - Field DefinitionsField Description Application Configuration template used: SIP Trunk. Scenario Description Name to describe the setup. This selection determines the configuration options displayed for Step 2.
Step 2: Configure SIP Details for Endpoint
Easy Configuration Step 2 includes configuration for the SIP Trunk endpoint. The configuration items displayed in Step 2 depends on the type of SIP Trunk you configured in Step 1. See below for each type.
- Configure the provider information.
- Click Next.
ATT SIP Trunk
The fields below are displayed if you select ATT SIP Trunk from the Name drop down list in Step 1.

| AT&T IP Toll Free | Enables/disables the AT&T Toll Free option. Valid option: Enabled or Disabled. |
| IP Toll Free Access Number | The Toll Free Access Number to use when the AT&T IP Toll Free option is enabled. |
KDDI SIP Trunk
The fields below are displayed if you select KDDI from the Name drop down list in Step 1.

| Authentication ID | The user identification to use in authentication. |

| Confirm Password | Re-enter the password to use with authentication for confirmation. |
| Split DNS Table | Click the green "+" icon to add a Split DNS Entry and configure the following: DNS Server IP. IP address (IPv4 or IPv6) of the DNS server. The DNS Server IP address is for an SBC SWe Edge that uses Split DNS with a primary DNS server, secondary DNS server, and a domain-specific DNS server for resolving FQDNs as required on internal and external networks. Domain Name. Domain name associated with the DNS IP address. |
NTT DOCOMO Officelink
The fields below are displayed if you select NTT DOCOMO Officelink from the Name drop down list in Step 1.

Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect

| Signaling/Media Source IP | Select the external (Internet-facing) IP address for the server that handles routing of messages for signaling and media. |
| Outbound NAT IP | Allows the SBC to be placed behind a NAT device, and uses the IP of the NAT device for all outgoing messages. If this field is set to Enable, the Public IP address field configuration is required. Valid selections:
NOTE: This field is required when the SBC interface has a private IP and the NAT device is using a public IP. For details on configuring an SBC behind the NAT, refer to Configuring the SBC Edge for NAT Traversal. |
Step 3: Summary
Easy Configuration Step 3 includes a summary of the information configured in Step 1 and Step 3.
Review the information and click Finish.
