In this section:
The EMS uses the EMS Calea user role for all LI configuration operations and the admin user for communicating over netconf to the SBC. The EMS creates the SBC Calea user credentials automatically when an SBC registers to the EMS. Distributed SBC instances are registered dynamically in the EMS.
A single Call Data Channel (CDC) configuration is supported per cluster. The S-SBC does not support the creation of a media TCP or UDP.
To configure the S-SBC LI through the CLI, refer to the following pages:
For a D-SBC (S-SBC or M-SBC) cluster, configure the CLI on the OAM node for the cluster.
To configure the CDC for an S-SBC instance:
The LI Call Data Channel must be configured on the S-SBC to indicate that it supports interception. For LI, the CDC configuration is performed using the CDC Configuration Manager through the EMS. You can create CDC information only when logged in as the EMS Calea user from the EMS CDC configuration window.
To configure a cluster CDC for S-SBC nodes:
Click Network > Cluster Management. The Cluster Management / Manage VNFs window opens listing the SBC clusters created on the EMS.
Click the Configurations tab.
Click Cluster CDC. The Lawful Intercept/Cluster CDC window is displayed.
Click Launch CDC Configuration Manager. The SBC Configuration Manager window is displayed.
The S-SBC supports only one CDC. You will receive an error message if you try to create a CDC when a CDC already exists.
To create a new call data channel:
In the SBC Configuration Manager window of the Calea user, navigate to Configuration > Intercept > Call Data Channel. The Call Data Channel window is displayed.
You can configure LI using the default Address Context only.
Select default from the Address Context drop-down menu.
Click New Call Data Channel. The Create New Call Data Channel window is displayed.
Configure the Create New Call Data Channel panel for either the default, IMS, or PCSI LI. For descriptions of the parameters in the following tables, refer to Intercept - Call Data Channel.
To configure the CDC for the default LI, use the following table.
You cannot create or modify mediation servers for an S-SBC with a default LI. Since you cannot create mediation servers, you cannot configure the signaling interception for a default LI.
For S-SBCs with a default LI, you can configure only the CDC. In the CDC configuration, you provide the IP Address and Port details.
To configure the CDC for the IMS LI, use the following table.
To configure the CDC for the PCSI LI, use the following table.
You cannot create or modify mediation servers for an S-SBC with a PCSI LI. Since you cannot create mediation servers, you cannot configure the signaling interception for a PCSI LI.
Click Save. The object is created successfully.
Click OK.
Click Close at the top-right of the SBC Configuration Manager window.
Return to the EMS session containing the SBC Configuration Manager for the OAM node and click Apply Saved Changes and Close.
When prompted, confirm that you want to save and activate your configuration changes.
After you create the CDC, you can create mediation server objects that associate with the CDC. The CDC configuration supports up to eight mediation servers.
You can create and modify the mediation servers only for an S-SBC with an IMS LI.
Use the following procedure to create a mediation server object.
In the SBC Configuration Manager window of the Calea user, select Configuration > Intercept > Call Data Channel > Mediation Server.
Select default from the Address Context drop-down menu.
Select the CDC you created for the S-SBC from the Call Data Channel drop-down menu.
Click New Mediation Server. The SBC Configuration Manager displays the Create New Mediation Server panel.
Click Ok.
You can repeat the preceding steps to create a maximum of eight mediation servers for the S-SBC.
Click Close at the top-right of the SBC Configuration Manager window.
Return to the EMS session containing the SBC Configuration Manager for the OAM node and click Apply Saved Changes and Close.
When prompted, confirm that you want to save and activate your configuration changes.
You can configure the signaling interception only for an S-SBC with an IMS LI.
Use the following procedure to configure the signaling interception.
In the SBC Configuration Manager window of the Calea user, select Configuration > Intercept > Call Data Channel > Mediation Server.
Click Signaling.
Select the mediation server you created for the S-SBC from the Mediation Server drop-down menu.
Use the following table to configure the Edit Signaling panel. For descriptions of the parameters in this table, refer to Mediation Server - Signaling.
Click Close at the top-right of the SBC Configuration Manager window.
Return to the EMS session containing the SBC Configuration Manager for the OAM node and click Apply Saved Changes and Close.
When prompted, confirm that you want to save and activate your configuration changes.
