Usage of the Easy Config wizard to configure the SBC Edge does not modify existing configuration. The wizard will simply add the new configuration elements to the SBC.
The SBC Easy Config interface includes a built-in step-by-step setup configuration wizard, which enables end-users to quickly deploy the SBC in an Enterprise's Lync environment with a SIP Trunk Provider to an ISDN PBX. The SBC can be configured to use a SIP trunk to connect to an ISDN PBX using the automatic setup wizard as described in the section below.
The following SIP Trunks are supported:
Depending on the SIP trunk selected, the specific configuration fields are displayed in the Wizard. These are noted below.
These instructions assume the SBC Easy Configuration wizard is running. Refer to Using the Easy Configuration Wizard.
Select the Application type (SIP Trunk ↔ ISDN PBX). Enter the scenario configuration details based on your deployment settings. Once completed, click Next to move to Step 2 (or Cancel to return to the main WebUI screen).
The scenario in which the configuration template is provided. In this case, select SIP Trunk ↔ ISDN PBX.
Enter the name to describe the SIP Trunk ↔ ISDN PBX setup.
This value will be prefixed on all SBC configuration elements created by the Setup Wizard pertaining to this deployment.
The country in which the SIP Trunk ↔ ISDN PBX originates.
The E911 Elin number from the "CompanyName" field configured in Lync location services is used as the authoritative Callback number for outgoing E911 calls, and is always the preferred configuration. Specifically, it will take precedence over any Callback Number number configuration in Lync Setup. For more information, refer to Creating and Modifying Entries to Transformation Tables.
Defines the Emergency Services for outgoing numbers. For the purpose of this illustration above, Emergency Services is not selected. Field definitions are defined below.
Options: ELIN Identifier, E911/E112 or None.
Callback Number in string format. This field is displayed only when ELIN Identifier or E911/E112 is selected from Emergency Services.
Second Callback Number in string format. This field is displayed only when ELIN Identifier or E911/E112 is selected from Emergency Services.
Defines the Public Safety Answering Point Number. Valid entry 1 - 127 characters.
The SIP trunk used for connection to the ISDN PBX. Valid options: Other SIP Trunk, ATT SIP Trunk, Verizon SIP Trunk, KDDI SIP Trunk, SoftBank White Office, and NTT DOCOMO Officelink.
The SIP Trunk selected determines the field options displayed in Step 2. See Step 2 - Configure SIP Details for Endpoint.
Enter the scenario configuration details based on your endpoint. Once completed, click Next to move to Step 3 (or Previous to return to the previous screen).
These fields apply if you selected Other SIP Trunk in Step 1 - Select Scenario.
The FQDN or IP address of the Session Border Controller service provider.
The IP protocol to use for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. Valid entry UDP or TCP.
The SIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server.
Enables or disables the secondary Session Border Controller service provider configured.
Specifies the Secondary Border Element Service provider. Valid entry: IP Address or FQDN. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.
The Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.
The Port Number used for sending and receiving messages between SBC and the Secondary Border Element server. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.
Specifies the physical T1/E1 port used for this Signaling Group. Valid option: T1 or E1.
The physical T1/E1 port number to which the PSTN line is physically connected. DS1 entries are configured with the following command buttons: Up (move a DS1 port up in the list), Down (move a DS1 port down in the list), Add (adds a DS1 port), and Remove (deletes a DS1 port).
For example, click Add. Select the desired PSTN port and OK.
Specifies the ISDN variant for the port type in the ISDN Signaling Group.

For E1:
Determines if the SBC should translate dialed PSTN digits as phone extensions. Valid options: Translation Extension (translates digits into phone extensions) or Passthrough Untranslated (does not translate digits).
The numbers to prefix for the translated phone extension. This field is available only when ISDN Number Translation is set to Translation Extension.
The number of digits used to account for the PSTN extension. Valid options: 2, 3, 4, or 5. This field is available only when ISDN Number Translation is set to Translation Extension.

Specifies the source of the systems transmit clock.
Primary Clock Port
Specifies the DS1 port from which the clock will be derived. This field is visible only if Network is specified as the Clock Source.
Secondary Clock Port
Specifies the DS1 port from which the clock will be derived. This field is visible only if Network is specified as the Clock Source.
The Secondary Clock Source is used only if the primary clock source is not of sufficient quality or becomes unavailable.
ISDN Side
Specifies the ISDN user/network side for this signaling group.
These fields apply if you selected SoftBank White Office in Step 1 - Select Scenario.
The method used for connecting networks. Options are: Routerless and Router. On selection of Routerless, the Easy Config displays the Signaling/Media Source IP field and the SIP Server field. On selection of Router, the Easy Config displays the SIP Server field only.
The user-specified IP address to be used for SIP signaling messages. The Signaling/Media Source IP field does not display when the option selected for the WAN Link field is Router.
The host IP address or FQDN for the SIP server.
The ID used for authenticating with the router at the gateway of the network.
The password used for authenticating with the router at the gateway of the network.
Re-entry of the password for the router serving as network gateway.
The public address that points to the domain for users, for use in the Contact Registrant Entry. For example, specify: GatewayID@SIPServer.
