The EdgeMarc 250 DSP runs on SOC2, which communicates to the controller host (SOC1) via a private IP network. This network is a /30 subnet and only has two hosts (the DSP and controller-host) as part of this private network. By default, no configuration is needed, as default addresses Controller-Host (10.199.200.2) and DSP (10.199.200.1) are used on the 10.199.200.1/30 network. If these addresses conflict with any existing network on your device, your configurations can be changed after first consulting Ribbon support to avoid any disruption in service.

Caution

Do not change the IP address on the SOC2 (DSP) unless specified by Ribbon personnel. Changing it to an IP within your network will cause issues and stop network traffic.

  1. Choose Network > SOC2 IP Configuration.

  2. In the SOC2(DSP) IP Address field, enter a new SOC2 IP address.

This defines a DSP address in a /30 subnet. The System automatically calculates the peer controller-host IP in that subnet. Once configuration is applied, a new addresses is shown as the current configuration.

  3. Click Submit to save all settings on the page.

    Refer to Upgrade Firmware.
