Use the following workflow to deploy a partially configured signaling group and a new single endpoint using the SBC Easy Configuration Wizard.

The analog module of the Edge 8300 model needs this configuration to transmit and receive calls from the device's analog ports. The configuration includes setting up the function inside the 8300 to act as the User Agent (UA) server for telephone devices connected to those analog ports.

  • For this single endpoint scenario, since the peer end is not known or is not configured, the Easy Configuration Wizard creates the Transformation and Routing entries for the endpoint being configured independent of the peer end. (If you connect two endpoints and then use the Single Leg Wizard to add a third endpoint, you must create or modify the Transformation and Routing entries to complete the routing.)
  • Refer to Using the Easy Configuration Wizard in the SBC Edge documentation for an overview of the Easy Config routine. Refer to Workflow for Initial Setup - Standalone or Workflow for Initial Setup - High Availability for the complete instructions for a new setup.
Easy Configuration Wizard - Single Leg Configuration Notes
  • Use the Single Leg Wizard to add a 3rd, 4th, or 5th peer to the device when at least two legs have already been configured via the standard Easy Configuration Wizard.
  • Emergency configuration is not supported for single end-point scenarios.

Prerequisites
