The following steps are required to install the DSC SWe on VMware and perform an initial configuration on the system.

The external network consists of the following components:

  • Physical cable connections between the VMWare Host and the next hop router
  • Direct cable connections between physical VMWare Hosts to enable the VM-to-VM High Availability (HA) communication link

Note

Migrating a DSC SWe VM is a function of the hypervisor. For example, if you have to move the DSC system that was installed on the VMware vSphere Client Host to the new host install on the VMware ESXi Web Service Host.
