For Transaction Capabilities Part (TCAP) traffic routed on Global Title (GT), the Level 4 Converter can be deployed over a mated pair (but not distributed) configuration using the C-link to interface with a network using an Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP) relay point configuration. The SCCP Relay point requires that the Local Point Code (LPC) be used as the Originating Point Code (OPC) while the Destination Point Code (DPC) is set to the adjacent linkset point code (PC) much like an F-link scenario.

Note

Call Customer Support if this configuration is required.

The Level 4 Converter Route Mapping objects are a one-to-one mapping between a network switch and a mirror PC on the opposite network. In an SCCP Relay deployment, deregistration on switch unavailability is not an option as the C-link is expected to take over even if the DPC of the original message is for the unavailable peer converter.

Note

For SCCP Relay, the Level 4 Converter cannot be distributed across the mate, but can only be distributed locally over a distributed Signaling Transfer Point (STP) to properly use the C-link for rerouting. The Level 4 Converter on each mate STP must be configured separately.
