Some system features for which information is included in this guide are not supported for this release and, therefore, are to be ignored. For a listing of the unsupported features, see Limitations for the DSC Platforms.

SS7 Application Guide 2

Provides descriptive and procedural information for the Signaling Gateway (SG), Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP), Gateway Screening and MSU Tracing (GWST), Global Title Translation (GTT), Point Code Emulator (PCE), and Integrated Monitoring Feed (IMF), Intelligent Network Application Protocol Gateway (INAPGW), and Number Portability Gateway (NPGW) applications.

This guide also provides descriptive and procedural information for configuring and maintaining the Level 4 Converter.

Ribbon DSC Application Guide

Provides instructions for setting up, provisioning, and maintaining the  DSC application. The guide includes a software overview, descriptions of SP2000 concepts, discussion of the various deployment options, considerations for setting up this application, and information about the license-dependent InterWorking Function (IWF) feature.

Note: This guide is only applicable to the DSC Platforms.

Administration and Maintenance

DSC - SP2000 Platform Manager User Guide

Provides instructions for administration tasks such as using the system start and stop commands, backing up and restoring the system configuration files, Ethernet networking, and system monitoring and logging. The guide also provides some information about the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).

Operations and Troubleshooting

DSC Alarms Guide
Describes all events including alarms, warnings, notifications, clearing events recorded by the DSC - SP2000 Platforms and possible troubleshooting actions. The methods used to record and track these events are also described in the guide.

References

TL1 Reference Guide

Describes the TL1 commands used to manage software application elements and parameters for this product. The TL1 command descriptions are listed alphabetically and divided into chapters based on software. An object-based illustration of the TL1 managed software application hierarchy is provided in each chapter as well as links to the commands used to manage specific objects within the hierarchy.

XML Application Programming Interface User Guide

Provides the Extensible Markup Language (XML) syntax and functional specification that the DSC Platforms use to interact with XML User Agents (UAs).

Note: This guide is only applicable to the DSC Platforms.

User Application Protocol Guide

Describes access to the DSC Platforms SS7 message information stream through a TCP/IP interface. The User Application Protocol (UAP) can terminate the SS7 message stream at the MTP3 or at the SCCP, allowing you to access both call control (ISUP) and service-oriented (SCCP/TCAP) messages.

Note: This guide is only applicable to the DSC Platforms.

Web UI and Menu UI Guide

Includes descriptions for the Web-based and Menu-based user interfaces (UIs) and illustrations for the Ribbon DSC - SP2000 object-based software application hierarchy (MTP2, MTP3, SCCP, SG, GTT, GWST, PCE, DSC, IMF, INAPGW, and NPGW).

Data Measurements Reference

Provides data measurement and reporting information for the DSC - SP2000 Platforms.

REST API

REST API User Guide

Provides information about the Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (API). This interface is an established technique which allows administrators and developers to script DSC - SP2000 interactions from other servers and/or third-party applications.

REST API Reference Guide
Provides a listing of all supported API resources exposed by the DSC - SP2000 series along with their associated REST methods and schema definitions.
