If changes are made to the routing IP networking such that these changes affect the SS7 and/or Diameter stack, the appropriate changes would have to be made to the configuration in the affected applications (for example, M2PA links, M3UA servers, DSC nodes, and so on.
During the initial configuration process, you must configure the DSC 8000’s hostname, domain name, and external networking. For detailed information about this process and the relevant procedures, see the DSC 8000 Hardware Installation Guide (see DSC Platforms Documentation Library).
If you have to change any of the initially configured networking parameters, this section provides you with the required information.
Caution
The IPv4-mapped-IPv6 addresses are not supported on Linux.
