The DSC Parameter Sets objects store collections or related configuration information that may be referenced by several other Ribbon DSC objects, eliminating the need to repetitively provision multiple attributes across multiple objects. A default object is preconfigured in each parameter set type and is referenced when creating related objects. Hence, the default parameter sets may not be deleted and must always contain valid data that is suitable for use by new objects.
Note
DSC Parameter Sets’ values may not be modified while they are in use. A new parameter set must be created with the required values and the associated reference updated to use the new parameter set.
You cannot delete a DSC Parameter Set while this parameter set is in use.
The screens for creating and viewing DSC Parameter Sets are the same; hence, for simplicity, only the create procedures are provided in this section.
