Overview
The SBC Easy Config interface includes a built-in, step-by-step setup configuration wizard to enable quick and easy deployment of an SBC to connect a UCaaS environment with a PSTN Provider through ISDN.
The ISDN PSTN ↔ UCaaS option applies to SBC 1000/2000 only.
Step 1: Select ISDN PSTN ↔ UCaaS
Easy Configuration Step 1 includes configuration for Scenario Parameters and SIP Trunk type.
- In the WebUI, click the Tasks tab.
- In the left navigation panel, go to SBC Easy Setup > Easy Config Wizard.
From the Application drop down list, select ISDN PSTN ↔ UCaaS.
Configure per the field definitions below and click Next.
Configure Scenario Parameters - Field DefinitionsField Description Application Configuration template used: ISDN PSTN <-> Scenario Description Name to describe the setup. Telephone Country Country in which the SIP Trunk is setup. SIP Sessions Number of simultaneous SIP Sessions. Valid entry: 1 - 960. ISDN PSTN By default the Provider Type is configured to ISDN. UCaaS By default, the User Type is configured to Zoom.
Step 2: Configure ISDN PSTN Details for UCaaS
Easy Configuration Step 2 includes configuration for the ISDN PSTN endpoint and UCaaS.
- Configure the ISDN PSTN information (see below for field definitions).
- Configure the UCaaS: Zoom information (see below for field definitions).
Click Next.
Configure ISDN PSTNField Description Port Type Specifies the physical T1/E1 port used for this Signaling Group. Valid option: T1 or E1. DS1 Ports The physical T1/E1 port number to which the PSTN line is physically connected. DS1 entries are configured with the following command buttons: Up (move a DS1 port up in the list), Down (move a DS1 port down in the list), Add (adds a DS1 port), and Remove (deletes a DS1 port).
For example, click Add. Select the desired PSTN port and OK.
Switch Variant Specifies the ISDN variant for the port type in the ISDN Signaling Group.

ISDN Number Translation Determines if the SBC should translate dialed PSTN digits as phone extensions. Valid options: Translation Extension (translates digits into phone extensions) or Passthrough Untranslated (does not translate digits). PBX Prefix Numbers to prefix for the translated phone extension. This field is available only when ISDN Number Translation is set to Translation Extension. Extension Length The number of digits used to account for the PSTN extension. Valid options: 2, 3, 4, or 5.This field is available only when ISDN Number Translation is set to Translation Extension. Clock Source Specifies the source of the systems transmit clock.
- System: The built-in oscillator is used to transmit data over synchronous links.
- Network: The clock is derived from the data received from the peer devices on the network.
Primary Clock Port Specifies the primary port for the clock source. This field displays only when Network is selected as the Clock Source. Secondary Clock Port Specifies the secondary port for the clock source. This field displays only when Network is selected as the Clock Source. ISDN Side Specifies the ISDN user/network side for this signaling group to be created by this wizard. Valid entries: Network or User. Configure UCaaS
Field Description Signaling/Media Source IP The external (Internet-facing) IP address of the Zoom server that handles routing of messages for signaling and media.
Host The IP/FQDN address used for Zoom. Valid entry: FQDN or IP. Port Number The port used for Zoom. Valid entry: 1024 - 65535)
Step 3: Summary
Easy Configuration Step 3 includes a summary of the information configured in Step 1 and Step 2.
Review the information and click Finish.
