The following section is only applicable to the DSC 8000, the DSC SWe (on MA-RMS), the Signaling Platform 2000 (SP2000), and the virtual SP2000 (on MA-RMS).

Before you can proceed with any other provisioning, you must select the link combinations that you want to have on your system.

To select the required link type and capacity

  1. From the Main Menu, click the required I/O card on the Hardware image.

  2. Click the required card.

  3. Click Capacity Configuration.
      

      
  4. Using the Select Configuration drop-down list, select the required configuration.

  5. Click Continue
Tip

The respective I/O card must be restarted to apply link combination or Protocol Variant changes (see To restart an I/O card).

To restart an I/O card

  1. From the Main Menu, click Processes.

  2. Click System Start/Stop Commands.

  3. Click Slot Selection drop-down list and select the card on which you changed the link combination.

  4. Click the Reboot radio button.

  5. Click Continue.
