The severity level and the category of all Sonus SBC 1000/2000 Alarms and Events as they appear on the WebUI are configurable. This is particularly useful if you wish to have the Sonus SBC 1000/2000's alarms/events conform with a particular scheme followed in your lab environment, or you wish to highlight and/or group alarms and events that may be of particular interest.

(tick) Changing the Severity and/or Category of an alarm has no impact on system performance or function.

How to Configure Alarms and Events

To configure an alarm or event:

  1. In the WebUI, click the Settings tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, go to SNMP/Alarms > Alarms/Events Config.

  3. Click the expand () icon next to the alarm or event you wish to configure.

  4. Select a severity level from the Severity menu.
  5. Select a category from the Category menu.
  6. Click Apply.
