Select Operating Mode In Select Operation Mode, choose an operating mode for the Traversal system by selecting a radio button: |
Disabled | Disables firewall traversal (default). |
Internal Client | Designates the system for use inside the site firewall. The Internal Client connects through the site firewall to the External Server. Refer to Configure Internal Client Mode Settings. |
External Server | (Required) Designates is the server that all remote clients connect to. The server must be reachable from the public Internet and is typically set up outside the main site firewall or in parallel with it. The External Server can be connected to an Internal Client. If no Internal Client is used, the External Server must be able to route traffic to the internal network directly. If an Internal Client is used, the External Server routes traffic through a secure tunnel to the Internal Client which in turn sends the traffic to the internal systems. Refer to Configure External Server Mode Settings. |
Remote Client | Connects from a satellite site to the External Server. This allows systems (such as Video Endpoints) to securely connect to other equipment at the main site. Refer to Configure Remote Client Mode Settings. |
