Customer Networks allows an administrator or service provider to assign public networks for management by the end customer. Once assigned by the service provider, the customer can to assign the addresses used for NAT and PPTP Server, without requiring the assistance of the service provider.

The Customer Networks page is only available for the root user. The end customer is not allowed to change the networks that can be managed.

  1. Choose Network > Customer Networks.

  2. Configure settings using the information in the table below as a guide. When you have finished configuring settings, click Submit to make your changes take effect.

    Customer Networks Configuration Parameters

    Customer Network

    Defines the public address for the customer-managed firewall, dynamic NAT, port forwarding, and the PPTP server.

    Establish the customer network for the end customer by entering address information in the fields provided:

    NAT/Port Forwarding

    Enter the address to be used for inbound port forwarding and outbound dynamic NAT connections.

    NAT LAN Network

    Enter the LAN network address that is associated with the address set in NAT/Port Forwarding. One of the defined LAN networks should be used in this field for NAT to function correctly.

    Network Mask

    Network mask of the VLAN.

    NAT LAN Mask

    Enter the netmask that is applied to the NAT LAN network.

    PPTP Server Address

    Specifies the address for PPTP VPN connections.

    Add a Network

    Defines a network that the end customer is allowed to manage. After configuration, click Add to save your settings.

    IP Network

    Enter the network address of the subnet to be managed.

    Netmask

    Enter the netmask for the IP network. The netmask determines how many addresses are available in the network.

Deleting a Customer Network

To delete a network from the Customer Networks table:

  1. Select checkboxes for the entries that you want to delete. Click All to choose all the entries or None to clear your selections.
  2. Click Delete.
