Installing Event Zero on ASM SBA

This Best Practice details how to install the Event Zero Commander Connectors application on the ASM SBA. The Event Zero Commander Connectors application provides an interface for Event Zero to access Skype network diagnostic data, and push it to their cloud in order to run the organization-wide analytics for Microsoft Lync and Skype for Business deployments.

1. Prerequisite

Download Commander Connectors. See Event Zero Downloads.

2. Install Commander Connectors application

Click on the downloaded file to be installed on the ASM. The Commander Connectors Setup Wizard is displayed.
Click Next.

Welcome Screen
Select the folder in which Commander Connectors will be installed.
Click Next.

Select Installation Folder
Select how the Connector Service will run: Run as Network Service or Run as specific Active Directory account.
Click Next.

Leaving the default Run as Network Service is recommended and simplifies installation.

Run Service
Select Specify Enterprise Commander Server location manually.
Enter the server's Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).
Click Next.

The Use Service Directory to locate Enterprise Commander Server option will look to the DNS for the SRV record

Specify Commander Server Location
Click Next.

Begin Installation
Click Install.

Installation Process
When installation is complete, click Finish.

Finish Installation

After installation is complete on the ASM, the connector will start communicating with the server after this is authorized from the Event Zero UC Commander Application.
