Installing licenses allows you to use SBC SWe Edge features. You can choose to go with the NLL method or the NWDL method. Licenses applied to the Active instance are replicated to the Standby instance.

(optional) Installing a Node-Locked License

If you choose to go with the NLL method, you must upload the NLL license file to the Active instance.

Note

The license file can be generated with your SBC SWe Edge ID of the Active and Standby instances from Salesforce.

Start
  1. Log in to the Active instance.
  2. Click the Settings tab at the top of the WebUI.
  3. In the left navigation window, go to System > Licensing > Install New License.
  4. Click Choose File and upload your license.
  5. Click Decode to see the details of the license.
  6. Click Apply
  7. In the left navigation pane, select Licensing > Current Licenses. The Current Licenses pane opens on the right.
  8. In the Feature Licenses section, verify the NLL license count that is currently available on the system is as required.

(optional) Installing a Network-Wide Domain License

If you choose to go with the NWDL method, you must connect your SWe Edge HA pair to RAMP and associate the NWDL license with your SBC SWe Edge HA pair through RAMP.  The following workflow defines the procedures for installing an NWDL license.
