To create or modify an Entry in the Contact Registrant Table:

  1. In the WebUI, click the Settings tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, go to SIP > Contact Registrant Tables and click on the Create SIP Contact Registrant icon ().

  1. Click the expand () Icon next to the entry you wish to modify.
  2. Edit the entry properties as required, see details below.

Contact Registrant - Field Definitions

Type of Address of Record

Specifies how the Address of Record is populated in the REGISTER request.

  • Local: The host portion of the Address of Record (AOR) URI will be the local IP/FQDN. 
  • Remote: The host portion of the Address of Record (AOR) URI will be the Server IP.
  • Static. When set as Static, you enter the full Address of Record (AOR) through the Address of Record URI field.

Address of Record URI

Identifies the address of record for this client to be registered to the SIP server.

  • Local URI. If the Type of Address of Record field is set to Local, enter the user. 
  • Remote URI. If the Type of Address of Record field is set to Remote, enter the user. 
  • Static URI. If the Type of Address of Record field is set to Static, the URI must contain user@host[:port]

Global time to Live (TTL)

Specifies the time, in seconds, between REGISTER messages for this contact. The SBC 1000/2000 will send a REGISTER at an interval specified for the Global TTL value for all bindings.

Failed Registration Retry Timer

Sets the time to wait after a failed registration to try again. Valid entry: numeric in seconds, range 30 - 86400. Default entry: 120 seconds.

Through the Create SIP Contact window, you can add, delete and edit SIP contact entries. See below for field definitions.

Contact URI Username

Specifies a unique SIP Uniform Resource Identifier (URI).

TTL Type

Specifies which Type of Time To Live value to use for this contact.

  • Use Global TTL: Specifies that the Global TTL value is used for this contact.
  • Override Global TTL: Specifies that a custom TTL value, entered in the Time to live field (below), is used for this contact.

Time to Live (TTL)

Specifies the time, in seconds, between REGISTER messages for this contact. However, the SBC 1000/2000 will send a REGISTER at an interval specified for the Global TTL value for all bindings. This field is visible only when Override Global TTL is specified for TTL Type.

Priority(Q)

Specifies the priority level for this binding.
