A Note About Password Encryption
  • The SBC stores the password hash (not the password itself) in a configuration database. The encryption process uses SHA-512.
  • The SBC and EMA PM use Linux PAM to verify the credentials (not the database). The hash stored in the SBC is used to restore the users upon restore.
