The SBC Core provides a number of security measures to protect your network, equipment, data and information. An integral aspect of SBC security is ensuring the platform is physically secured and access is sufficiently controlled. Best practices implementation requires placing the SBC management port and BMC port behind a secure firewall. Even though these ports are hardened, they should not be placed directly on the Internet or other public network. Hardening does not guarantee protection against all possible attacks on these ports.
The BMC is not applicable to SBC SWe.
