For security reasons, change the BMC root password using the steps below:

  1. Log on to the SBC BMC using the IP address configured in the previous section.
    The SBC BMC main screen displays.

  2. Navigate to Configuration > Users.


  3. Highlight a user from the list and click Modify User.
    The Modify User window displays.


  4. Select Change Password to enable the password fields.
  5. Enter the new password in both fields and then click Modify.
    A pop-up dialog confirms the modification was successful.

  6. Click OK to complete the process.
