In this section:

Perform the following procedure to open the BMC Java console using the latest Java version.

Prerequisite

Install the latest 32-bit Java version.

Note

The following procedure is not supported on the 64-bit Java version.


Procedure

  1. Edit the file, [installation_path]\server\java\jre\lib\security\java.security to comment the jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms parameter.
    For example:
    In C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre-1.8\lib\security\java.security, comment the following lines with '#':

    #jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms=MD2, MD5, RSA keySize < 1024, \
#DSA keySize < 1024, include jdk.disabled.namedCurves, \
#SHA1 denyAfter 2019-01-01

  2. Save the changes and close the window.

  3. Download and open the .jnlp file from the BMC to verify it is working.
