You may have to configure the SS7 (T1/E1/J1) interfaces (ports) on the AMC348 card.
These interfaces may be set to
- T1_D4 - configurable for 24 TDM channels with no cyclic redundancy (CRC) error check
- T1_ESF - configurable for 24 TDM channels with cyclic redundancy (CRC) error check
- E1 - configurable for 31 TDM channels with no CRC error check
- E1_CRC4 - configurable for 31 TDM channels with CRC error check
- J1 - configurable for 24 TDM channels at 1.5 Mbp/s with cyclic redundancy (CRC) error check
Caution
Make sure the local and remote SS7 port is set to the same T1/E1/J1 interface type. Otherwise, the system does not function as expected.
- From the Main Menu, navigate to Hardware in the left panel, and click the required AMC348 card on the DSC 8000 image.
- Click AMC348 card under the Card Type heading.
- Under the Port Selection heading, click the port that you want to configure.
- Configure the port attributes.
- Click Continue to save your changes.
To View Port Status
- From the Main Menu, navigate to Hardware in the left panel, and click the required AMC348 card on the DSC 8000 image.
- Click AMC348 card under the Card Type heading.
- Under the Port Selection heading, click the port for which you want to see the status.
- Click Port Status.
To View Loopback Status
- From the Main Menu, navigate to Hardware in the left panel, and click the required AMC348 card on the DSC 8000 image.
- Click AMC348 card under the Card Type heading.
- Under the Port Selection heading, click the port for which you want to see loopback status.
Click Loopback Status.
To view Gain and Attenuation Status
- From the Main Menu, navigate to Hardware in the left panel, and click the required AMC348 card on the DSC 8000 image.
- Click AMC348 card under the Card Type heading.
- Under the Port Selection heading, click the port for which you want to see gain and attenuation status.
- Click Gain and Attenuation Status.
