Service Handlers

These Service Handlers are listed on the left pane under the Service Handlers tab.

AIN Info Analyzed Service Handler

The AIN info analyzed service handler provides access to the SS7 Database Applications services using the AIN protocol's info analyzed signaling message. The AIN info analyzed service handler is primarily used for number portability services, internal subscriber routing requests, authentication of the called number, authentication of the calling number, and authentication of the query source. The message filtering determines if the signaling message should be sent to the AIN info analyzed service handler.

1. Select CONFIGURATION > SS7 DB Application from the launcher tree.
   
   
2. Click Service Handlers tab.
   
   

3. Select AIN Info Analyzed service handler template node on the left pane.

   1. To create an instance of the service handler, see Create a service handler instance in the Service Handlers tab.

   2. To display service handler instance components, see Service Handler Databases
      

   The Service Panel provides the available services for the service handler.
   
   

4. Go to the Service Handlers tab procedures window for using this procedures.

The Response Identifiers node displays the following:

• Analyze Route 
• Return Error
• Continue
• Disconnect

ANSI INAP Service Handler

The ANSI INAP service handler provides access to SS7 Database Applications services using the INAP routing protocol. The message filtering determines if the signaling message should be sent to the ANSI INAP service handler.

1. Select CONFIGURATION > SS7 DB Application from the launcher tree.
   
   
2. Click Service Handlers tab.
   
   
3. Select ANSI INAP service handler template node on the application tree. 

   1. To create an instance of the service handler, see Create a service handler instance in the Service Handlers tab.

   2. To display service handler instance components, see Service Handler Databases.
      
      

    The Service Panel provides the available services for the service handler. 
   
   
4. Go to the Service Handlers tab procedures window for using this procedures.

IN Provide Instructions Service Handler

The IN provide instructions service handler provides access to the SS7 Database Applications services using the IN protocol's provide instructions signaling message. The IN provide instructions service handler is primarily used for number portability services, authentication of query source, and authentication of query rates. The message filtering determines if the signaling message should be sent to the IN provide instructions service handler.

1. Select CONFIGURATION > SS7 DB Application from the launcher tree.
   
   
2. Click Service Handlers tab
   
   

3. Select IN provide instructions service handler template node on the application tree.

IS41 Service Handler

The IS41 service handler provides access to the SS7 Database Applications services using the IS41 MAP signaling message. The IS41 service handler is primarily used for IS41 MAP routing requests, authentication of the query source, and authentication of the message rate. The message filtering determines if the signaling message should be sent to the IS41 service handler.

1. Select CONFIGURATION > SS7 DB Application from the launcher tree.
   
   
2. Click Service Handlers tab.
   
   
3. Select IS41 service handler template node on the application tree.   
   

   1. To create an instance of the service handler, see Create a service handler instance in the Service Handlers tab.

IS41 LOCREQ Service Handler

The IS41 LOCREQ service handler provides access to the SS7 Database Applications services using the IS41 MAP protocol's location request signaling message. The IS41 LOCREQ service handler is primarily used for IS41 MAP subscriber routing requests, authentication of the query source, and authentication of the message rate. The message filtering determines if the signaling message should be sent to the IS41 LOCREQ service handler.

1. Select CONFIGURATION > SS7 DB Application from the launcher tree.
   
   
2. Click Service Handlers tab.
   
   
3. Select IS41 LOCREQ service handler template node on the application tree.

The IS41 NPREQ Service handler provides access to the SS7 Database Applications services using the IS41 number portability request signaling message. The IS41 NPREQ service handler is primarily used for number portability services, authentication of query source, and authentication of query rates. The message filtering determines if the signaling message should be sent to the IS41
NPREQ service handler.

1. Select CONFIGURATION > SS7 DB Application from the launcher tree.
   
   
2. Click Service Handlers tab.
   
   
3. Select IS41 NPREQ Service handler template node on the application tree.

ISUP Service Handler

The ISUP service handler provides general access to the SS7 Database Applications services using the ISUP routing protocol. The ISUP service handler is primarily used for parameter manipulation, parameter authentication, load monitoring, and call screening. The message filtering determines if the signaling message should be sent to ISUP service handler.

1. Select CONFIGURATION > SS7 DB Application from the launcher tree.
   
   
2. Click Service Handlers tab.
   
   
3. Select ISUP service handler template node on the application tree.

The LNP GTT CNAM service handler provides access to the SS7 Database Applications services using either the SCCP routing protocol or IN messages. The LNP GTT CNAM service handler is primarily used for the management of services for ported subscribers. The message filtering determines if the signaling message should be sent to the LNP GTT CNAM service handler.

1. Select CONFIGURATION > SS7 Database Applications from the launcher tree.
   
   
2. Click Service Handlers tab.
   
    
3. Select LNP GTT CNAM service handler template node on the application tree.
