You can enter a remote Network Time Protocol (NTP) server location so that the DSC - SP2000 Platform synchronizes its date and time to the NTP server’s date and time.

You can add multiple NTP servers. When typing the IP address of an NTP server, use the format xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and include separator periods between each xxx.

Restarting the NTP service on the DSC - SP2000 Platform resets the internal process that retrieves the date and time from the NTP server. Restarting the NTP service on the DSC - SP2000 Platform does not affect the NTP server.

If you have Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers configured, their settings overrides any manual changes to the system date and time. For more information about setting the system date and time, see Setting System Date and Time.
