The purpose of the Reset action for M2UA links is to force realignment of these links.

If you click the Reset action for an M2UA link, a reset procedure is scheduled. During this procedure, the link first taken out of service (in the UI the L2 State shows OUT_OF_SERVICE and the L3 State shows OUT_OF_SERVICE), then it is restarted and the alignment procedure is triggered. When this alignment procedure is completed and the link is functioning as expected, then the link is brought back into service (in the UI both the L2 and L3 States show IN_SERVICE).

  1. From the Main Menu, click MTP3.

  2. Click the required NA.

  3. Click Linksets.

  4. Click the required linkset.

  5. Click the required M2UA link.

  6. Click Reset.

  7. Click Continue
