You can access the PCE user interface (UI) from the DSC - SP2000 Platform Main Menu (referred to as Main Menu in this guide). It is assumed that you are an experienced user of the DSC - SP2000 Platform and, therefore, are familiar with the logon process and the Main Menu operations. If you require information about this process and these operations, refer to the appropriate section in the Web UI and Menu UI Guide.

You can access the PCE DB Manager screen by clicking the PCE button in the Main Menu.

Note

  • The Hardware, Hardware Monitor, and Switch Monitor configuration utilities are not supported for the DSC SWe (on KVM, VMware, and OpenStack).
        

  • The PCE and Level 4 Converter applications cannot be enabled at the same time.

  • Clicking the question marks in the UI displays the attribute description.
  • The Restore Debug Defaults action restores the logging configurations of the PCE to their default values.

  • Although in some of the procedures in this chapter it is recommended that you do not change the attribute default values, the procedure to change these values is provided. The reason for including these procedures is that you can change the default values if this change is recommended by Customer Support.

  • Unless otherwise specified, all procedures in this guide can be performed by the ss7user.
