The Message Transfer Part Level 3 (MTP3) forms part of the SS7 protocol stack and provides routing in the network.
The following table provides the MTP3 status values and their description.
MTP Status
| MTP3 Status | Description |
|---|---|
| ACTIVE | The normal status for in-service node. |
| INACTIVE | The node has been deactivated for maintenance reasons and is not handling traffic. |
| UNLICENSED | The node is not licensed and behaves as if INACTIVE. |
To view MTP3 status
- From the Main Menu, click MTP3.
- Click the required NA (see the preceding table for status message description).
