Some of the MTP3 MSAs that you can monitor are shown in the following figure.

M2PA Links are distributed across Routing VMs. To ensure that these links, in fact, are evenly distributed across these VMs, there is a licensing limitation when you are creating these links. If you are creating more than the licensed M2PA links for a Routing VM, an error message informs you that you cannot create any more such links on this DRE (VM). For example, if your system is licensed for eight M2PA links and is equipped with four Routing VMs, you can only create two M2PA links per Routing VM. For more information about creating M2PA links, see the appropriate chapter in the SS7 Application Guide 1.

Using the MSA utilities in the Web UI, you can see the number of M2PA links already created on the respective Routing VM, and, therefore, determine the number of M2PA links still available for creation as defined by your license.

To configure MTP3 MSAs

  1. From the Main Menu, click MTP3.

  2. Click MSAC.

  3. Click the MSA you want to configure.

  4. Configure the required attributes.

  5. Click Continue.
