The SUA configuration screens can be used to configure the following:

  • SUA Basic Configuration

  • SUA Usage Configuration

  • SUA Connection Oriented Timer Configuration

The SUA usage alarms are intended to provide a warning if an SUA SCTP Association usage reaches a previously determined maximum capacity. This alarm is intended as a mechanism for providing equivalent measurements in the IP domain to that of the Erlang measurements in the SS7 domain. All thresholds are applied separately to both the receive (Rx) and the transmit (Tx) side of the association (see To configure the SUA usage).

The SUA Connection Oriented Timer screen allows you to configure the timers used by SUA to set up and maintain Connection Oriented Protocol Class 2 connections (see To configure the SUA Connection Oriented Timers).
