An SCTP Association is typically established between a client and a server. One end point is defined as a client while the other is defined as a server.

For M3UA Internet Protocol Signaling Point (IPSP) and Media Gateway (MG) links, enable the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) Client attribute to operate the SCTP Associations as clients. Disabling the attribute configures the links to operate as SCTP servers.

The attribute is defaulted to enabled and is not relevant for the other link types.

For more information about M3UA IPSP and MG links, refer to Configuring Generic Links.
