The Integrated Monitoring Feed (IMF) is a licensed feature. This feature provides selected MSUs as they enter or exit the DSC Platformsin sequential order to an external monitoring application (or a third party probe) over IP.

Caution

If the firewall is enabled on the DSC Platforms, additional provisioning is required when configuring the Integrated Monitoring Feed (IMF). For more information, see Firewall Configuration.

To configure the IMF IP network

Note

The attributes that you have to configure in this procedure are the basic local address provisioning analogous to the Management Network (mgt) or Routing IP Network (pkt) settings that are in the same path.

For configuring the remote IP, refer to IMF Connections.

  1. From the Main Menu, click IP Networking.

  2. Click Network Interfaces.

  3. Click IMF IP Network.


         

  4. Use the IMF IP Network Configuration on drop-down list to select the required CPU on which you want to configure IMF IP networking.

  5. Configure eth0.6 as required.

  6. Click Save and Restart Networking.

  7. Configure eth1.7 as required.

  8. Click Save and Restart Networking.
