SBC SWe Lite Management via EdgeView

Overview

EdgeView Service Control Center (SCC) enables centralized management of Ribbon Communications Intelligent Edges, such as the SBC SWe Lite. Using the EdgeView software running on EdgeView, enterprises and service providers can monitor, and troubleshoot VoIP performance statistics from a central location, thus enhancing the support services provided to their customers. EdgeView can manage networks of all sizes. It can be installed as a standalone system or in a redundant high-availability configuration for carrier-grade environments.

Through EdgeView SCC, you can manage, monitor, provision and troubleshoot the SBC SWe Lite, including billing, licensing support and reporting of usage statistics.

Health and Performance Monitoring

EdgeViewmonitors the SBC SWe Lite device or group of devices according to model number mode, IP address, etc. From this data, EdgeView provides alarm information (highest level alarm), as well as a description of the issue and date/time. For example, EdgeView reports whether service issues are on the LAN, WAN or device: packet loss, jitter, delay, plus over ten parameters for an individual call, using the following features:

Voice Quality

The SBC SWe Lite reports Voice Quality related information (latency, delay, jitter, packet loss, etc) to the EdgeView SCC (Service Control Center) for reporting to the operator. The voice quality information is present in the media statistics of the CDR record; through EdgeView, you can view Voice Quality related fields independently, or as part of the complete CDR record.

Deployment and Management
