To create or modify an existing SNMP Management Address:

  1. In the WebUI, click the Settings tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, go to SNMP/Alarms > SNMP Management Addresses.

Modifying SNMP Management Addresses

  1. Click the expand () Icon next to the entry you wish to modify.
  2. Edit the entry properties as required, see details below.

Creating SNMP Management Addresses

Click the Create SNMP Manager Address () icon at the top of the SNMP Management Addresses Table page.

SNMP Management Address - Field Definitions

Manager Address

Specifies the SMNP Manager IP Address or Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).

SNMP Version

Specifies the SNMP version. Choice of Version 2 or Version 3.

Default is Version 2.

Community

A password used between the SNMP Manager and the agent (SBC Edge).

Hidden when SNMP Version 3 is configured.

Community Type

Read-Only is the only choice available.

USM User name

Username of user's choice.

Hidden when SNMP Version 2 is configured.

Auth Protocol

Default = SHA 1.

Hidden when SNMP Version 2 is configured.

Auth Password

Password of user's choice.

Hidden when SNMP Version 2 is configured.

Confirm Auth Password

Repeat password entered above to confirm.

Priv Protocol

Default is AES 128. Noe: AES 128 must be selected if Auth Protocol is set to anything other than None.

Hidden when SNMP Version 2 is configured.

Priv Password

Password of user's choice.

Hidden when Priv Protocol is set to None or SNMP Version 2 is configured.

Confirm Priv Password

Repeat password entered above to confirm.

Trap Enabled

Specifies whether or not the manager accepts traps.

Default = True.
