Tip: Use CLI to view the active firewall logs in /var/log/messages.

    Enable PPTP Sever Pass-Through

Select the Enable PPTP Server Pass-through checkbox to allow TCP port 1723 to be forwarded through the system to the defined PPTP Server IP Address.

The server is placed on the LAN side with a private IP address, which allows Windows PPTP to pass through to a Windows server but firewalls the server from other traffic.

Caution: Enabling the PPTP server pass-through and the PPTP server on this system can cause intermittent behavior on both servers. It is recommended that only one server be enabled at a time.

    PPTP Server IP Address

Enter the private PPTP server IPv4 IP address. All outside users will access the PPTP server using the system’s public IP address. The Windows server has a private IP address, which the system handles using NAT.
