Viewing and Editing Your License Key

Caution

When you update your software, including your license key, telephone services are unavailable for several minutes. Therefore, Ribbon recommends performing upgrades during a maintenance window when telephone traffic can be interrupted.

To View or Edit Your License Key

  1. Choose Admin from the Configuration Menu.

  2. Note your LAN MAC address in the LAN Interface MAC Address field.
  3. Scroll to Registration Status and click View License Key. The License page is displayed.

  4. To enter a new or replacement license key, click Edit License Key at the bottom of the page to activate the Enter License Key field.
  5. Clear the previous license key from the Enter License Key field and enter the new license key that you have obtained from

    .



  6. Click Submit.

Managing Encryption Key Settings

The Encryption Key Configuration page allows you to change the Encryption Key in the device. This feature is only available on some

devices.

To Manage Encryption Key Settings

  1. Choose Admin > Encryption Key.


    The Key in use field displays the current key in use, for example, “Default key.”

  2. Choose a key type from the Encryption Key drop-down list:

    • Default Key—The device uses its default encryption key.

    • New Key—The device uses a user-defined encryption key. The New Key field becomes active.

  3. Enter a new key in the New Key field. Encryption key size must be 16 characters and must not contain {%,<,>,$,',”} characters.

  4. Click Submit to save your settings.
