The System Event Log allows you to view the Windows events occurring on the vSBA's VM.

Note

System Event.evtx files are only viewable using the Microsoft Event Viewer.

View Event Logs

Use the following procedure to view the system event logs.

Start
  1. Log into the WebUI of the
    Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
    .
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. In the left navigation pane, go to Virtual DR SBA > System Event Logs. You can use the expand icon () to view the details of each alarm.


    The following table details the fields in this screen.

    FieldDescription
    Level

    Shows the level of severity of the event. For more information, refer to Event Level Guidelines.

    SourceShows the Windows Service that is the source of the event log entry.
    Event ID

    The Microsoft Event ID associated with the specific cause of the log entry. For more information about Event IDs, refer to Microsoft Support Site.

    Primary KeyInternal index for sorting.

Export Event Logs

You can export the system event logs in the Windows Event Log format (.evtx file). You can export event logs in their entirety or by date range.

Start
  1. Log into the WebUI of the
    Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
    .
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. In the left navigation pane, go to Virtual DR SBA > System Event Logs.

  4. Click
    • Export All to export all events. Save the System Events.evtx file.
    • Export Date Range to export events by a range of dates.
      1. Select the start and end dates from the date picker dialog.

        Note

        The start date implies a start time of 00:00:00 and the end date implies an end time of 23:59:59 on the date specified.

      2. Click OK. Save the System Events.evtx file.
