In this section:
The Path Check profile specifies the conditions that constitute a connectivity failure, and in the event of such a failure, the conditions that constitute a connectivity recovery. Refer to Path Check Support for details. After updating a Path Check Profile, you must disable and re-enable the profile for the change to take effect. The SBC determines the SRS reachability through the SIP ARS status. You must configure the Path Check Profile to determine the reachability of the SRS peers and treat a failure response, such as 501, as an OPTIONS failure. On the SBC main screen, choose a path: The Path Check Profile window is displayed. For the Edit, Create and Copy tools, the parameter For more information on the parameters and their values, see Path Check Profile - Parameter Description Table. Path Check Profile Parameters: Parameter Length/Range Description Name Up to 23 characters Enter the name of the Path Check Profile. (mandatory field) 400-699 or all, all4xx, all5xx, all6xx Use this parameter to define one or more comma-separated response codes to treat as failure responses. When you use more than one value, enclose the values in square brackets [ ], separating each value with a space. Entering a value without using brackets appends the value to the existing configurations. The Failure Response Codes values for a Path Check Profile and SIP Ars Profile within the same zone/TG use similar values to avoid unexpected behavior. For example, avoid setting the Path Check Profile Failure Response Codes to "all" and SIP ARS Profile Failure Response Codes to "all4xx,all6xx". In the EMA, the Failure Response Codes are configured as comma-separated values. In the CLI, the values of the Failure Response Code are separated by spaces. Protocol N/A Choose the the ping protocol type. Send Interval 1-600 Enter the interval (in seconds) to send the PING requests to the endpoints duration. The default value is 60 seconds. (Mandatory field) 1-10 Enter the time interval in seconds for the ping request to timeout. Note: This parameter is only available if Protocol = "Icmp." Reply Timeout 1-10 Enter the number of consecutive error responses that should occur before adding the endpoints to the Blacklist. The default value is 6. (Mandatory field) Recovery Count 1-10 Enter the number of consecutive success responses to receive during recovery. The default value is 6. (Mandatory field) Ribbon recommends to not configure Path Check Profile and SIP ARS Profile on the same peer to avoid unexpected results. As a general rule, the Path Check Profile is configured on the access leg where there is less traffic, and the ARS Profile is configured on the peer leg where there is continuous traffic.
