Ribbon strongly recommends that you enable Secure Shell (ssh) access only for linuxadmin, and for troubleshooting only, ideally restricted to key-based authentication and not passwords, and then disabled again. 


Enable ssh

Perform the following steps to enable ssh access.

Log on through BMC as user linuxadmin.

Change to user root:

su root

Enter the following command and then press Enter:

enableSsh

At the prompt, enter y and then press Enter.

Disable ssh

Perform the following steps to disable ssh access.

Change to user root:

su root

Enter the following command and then press Enter:

disableSsh
