Use this object to configure the Backward Call Indicator (BCI) for Egress IP attributes.

To View and Edit BCI

On the SBC main screen, choose a path:

  • Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: Trunk Provisioning > IP Signaling Profile > Egress IP Attributes > BCI 
  • Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Signaling Profiles > IP Signaling Profile > Egress IP Attributes > BCI 
  • All Profiles > Signaling > IP Signaling Profile > Egress IP Attributes > BCI 

The BCI window is displayed.

DEFAULT_H323

On the BCI window, choose the IP Signaling Profile as DEFAULT_H323 to view the BCI fields for the H.323 Trunk Group.

BCI Interwork Encountered

Enable this flag to indicate that ISUP is interworking with a network that cannot provide as many services as ISUP does. ISUP networks will, therefore, not employ certain features they otherwise normally do, including potentially the use of ISDN cause codes in failure conditions.

  • Disable (default)
  • Enable
BCI ISDN Address

Enable this flag to enable the ISDN Address in the BCI parameter of backward SS7 messages (e.g. ACM or ANM).

  • Disable (default)
  • Enable

DEFAULT_SIP

On the BCI window, choose the IP Signaling Profile as DEFAULT_SIP to view the BCI fields for a SIP Trunk Group.
