Recommended Action
If this alarm is raised, follow these steps.
- Log in to the Web UI as root.
- Locate the Alarm.
- Click the alarm category count at the top of the Web UI screen.
- Click this alarm number.
- Click the date of the occurrence.
- Make note of the affected card.
- From the System Main Menu, click Processes.
- Click Top Processes and identify those processes exhibiting high CPU Usage levels.
- Determine if a process or critical Alarm indicates the system is under stress (for example, congestion or excessive message discards).
- Raise the Critical CPU Usage Alarm Threshold if there are no indications of system stress.
- Follow the Recommended Actions for any critical Alarms present.
- Contact Customer Support and provide the information you have collected if you require advice regarding further action.
