 is a Microsoft-certified virtualized Session Border Controller (SBC) designed to provide small and mid-sized businesses interworking, security, and survivability for unified communications. The 
Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
is available for deployment in Azure as a BYOL (Bring Your Own License); it will be created as a virtual machine (VM) hosted in Azure. 

These instructions include how to configure and deploy the

in Microsoft Azure teams client on site via SIP trunk. All configuration commands are via Azure Portal.

SBC SWe Edge in Azure - Network Topology

Step 1: Review Prerequisites

Step 2: Deploy SBC SWe Edge From Azure Marketplace

When the 

Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
 is deployed via Azure Marketplace, the image automatically appears in the general list of available images in Azure Portal. Deploy the 
Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
as follows:

  1. Connect to the Azure portal. Refer to portal.azure.com.
  2. From the menu, click Create a Resource.

  3. In the search bar, enter Ribbon and click <Enter>. Select
    Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
     Quick Launch
    and click Enter.

  4. Review the product description and click Create.

  5. Click the Basics tab.

  6. Select a Subscription.
  7. Select Resource group (click Create new to create a Resource group automatically, or from the drop down box, select a Resource group previously created (i.e, SWeLite 1)
  8. Select a Region.
  9. In Virtual machine name field, enter SBCSWeLite.

  10. Select the Required # of simultaneous calls.
  11. Click Next: Virtual Machine Settings .

  12. In Virtual machine size, the Virtual Machine size is pre-selected by Ribbon as the recommended size. If you require another size, click Change size to select the applicable VM size. To determine the required VM size, refer to Transcoding Capacity - Microsoft Azure Cloud Deployment in  Calculating Virtual Machine Requirements for an SBC SWe Edge. Supported VM sizes include:

    1. B1ms

    2. B2s

    3. DS1_v2

    4. DS3_v2

  13. Select the storage account for the Virtual Machine's Serial diagnostics.
  14. Click Next: Networking Settings.

  15. In
    Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
    's virtual network, the network is pre-selected by Ribbon. If you require another network, select from the drop down list.
  16. In Management interface subnet, the subnet is pre-selected by Ribbon. If you require another subnet, select from the drop down list.
  17. In Signaling & media interface 1 subnet, the subnet is pre-selected by Ribbon. If you require another subnet, select from the drop down list.
  18. Click Next:

    Settings.

  19. In
    Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
     Management User Interface, enter the Username, Password, and Confirm Password.
  20. In the DNS Domain Name field, enter the DNS Domain name used by the 
    Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
    (i.e., Domain1.com).
  21. Click Next: Review + create.
    A screen indicates validation of the VM has passed.

  22. Review the information.
  23. Click Create.

Step 3: Connect to 
Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
via Azure Portal

Connect to the

Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
 via Azure Portal as follows:

  1. Access the Azure portal. Refer to portal.azure.com.
  2. From the menu, click Resource Groups.

  3. Click the Resource Group used above (for example, SweLite1).

  4. Click Settings > Deployment.
  5. Click ribboncommunications.ribbon_sbc_swe-lite_wizard_preview.

  6. Click Outputs. Take note of the 

    Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
    Management FQDN and public IP recommended for Teams Direct Routing.

  7. Connect to 

    Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
    Management FQDN.

Step 4: License Installation

Trial License Installation

If you are installing an 

Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
instance in Azure for a trial or demonstration deployment, you can use the 30 day trial license that is included with 
Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
in Azure by default. If your trial or demonstration deployment lasts for more than 30 days, proceed to Obtaining and Installing a Permanent SWe Edge Trial License. For more information, refer to SBC SWe Edge Trial Offer for Public Cloud Deployment.

Production License Installation

If you are installing an 

Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
instance to carry live/production enterprise traffic, proceed to Obtaining and Installing an SBC SWe Edge Production Node-Locked License.
