Debug logging is useful for troubleshooting purposes and is performed at the MTP Level 2 when this feature is enabled. Debug logging is enabled by default.

Caution

Debug logging is useful for troubleshooting purposes, but excessive logging can cause communication delays and is not recommended for normal operations.

To configure the debug logging

  1. From the Main Menu, click the required I/O card on the Hardware image.

  2. Click Logging Configuration.

  3. Configure the logging attributes.

    Tip

The Restore Debug Defaults action restores the MTP2 logging configurations to their default values and clears the associated logging alarms.

  4. Click Continue.
