The following procedure provides you with instructions to roll back the DSC 8000 software to a previous software version.
Note
The screen captures in this page are examples only and are the same between releases with the exception of the software version numbers in these screen captures.

Note
It is recommended that you verify the status of the AMC124 CPU, Ethernet Switch (MCH), and AMC348 I/O cards before you perform a rollback. All these cards should be running the same current software load. However, it is possible that some cards are shown as running the previous software load. This might occur if an earlier upgrade attempt encountered a failure on the card, or if some other interruption to the upgrade occurred. If this is the case, the rollback can continue.
If any card is found to be running an unexpected software load, or is reported to be inaccessible, contact Customer Support before proceeding with the rollback.
- Log onto one of the Management CPU cards on the DSC 8000 (slot 2, p19p1.3 or slot 13, p19p2.5).
- At the Linux prompt, enter startmenu and press ENTER.
- Select System and press ENTER.
- Select Software Revisions and press ENTER.
- Do the following:
To check the CPU status, select CPU Versions and press ENTER.

Check the current status of the CPU, Ethernet Switch (MCH), and I/O cards in the system from the Software Revisions menu before performing the Rollback.
Log onto one of the Management CPU cards on the DSC 8000 (slot 2, p19p1.3 or slot 13, p19p2.5).

Caution
If an asterisk appears beside any of the system cards during the verification process, the rollback for the respective card was unsuccessful. In this case, it is recommended that you contact Customer Support.
- Verify that the software has been rolled back properly by doing the following:
- Navigate to the Software Revisions screen.
