1. "No root file system" error during ISO Installation

If the Virtual Disk Type is not set to IDE while creating a new VM instance, the following error is displayed:

Solution:

You must Shutdown and delete the VM instance, and create a new instance ensuring Virtual Disk Type is set to IDE.

 

2. "SWe cannot run as the processor does not meet the requirements"  error

If the Copy Host CPU Configuration is not selected during VM instance creation, SBC SWe instance does not start as the processor requirements are not met. The following error is displayed:

Solution:

  1. Shutdown the VM instance.
  2. Right-click the instance and select Open.
    The Virtual Machine window is displayed.

  3. Click Details.
    The VM details is displayed.

  4. From the left pane, select Processor.
    Under the Configuration section, click Copy Host CPU Configuration.

    The Model field displays the host CPU configuration running on the host system like SandyBridge or Nehalem.

  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click Run to start the VM instance.
