The DSI (T1/E1) Interface card is a TNV1 compliant digital interface card, which in integrated into the Main Board. This card has board-mounted protection circuits for electrical isolation and protection against power crossing, lightning surges and hazardous voltages. The

The DSI (T1/E1) Interface card includes a bypass relay (incoming-PRI-to-outgoing-PRI) that latches in the event of a power loss. Refer to Configuring Powerdown Telephony Passthrough for configuration details.

T1/E1 Port Status LEDs
Each T1/E1 port on the Interface connector has an LED to indicate its operational status. The status states are described below:
Color | Status | Description |
---|---|---|
Off | No Signal/LOS | Indicates the port is not connected or connected cable is not providing a signal (Loss of signal). |
Green | Link Up | Indicates the port is operating normally. |
Red | LOF | Indicates the port has a Loss Of Framing (LOF) error. |
T1/E1 Port Pinouts
The T1/E1 ports are connected to the public network using 4-wire shielded 26 AWG or larger twisted pair telecommunication line cords with RJ-48C connector.
