To Create a Link Monitor Table entry:
- In the WebUI, click the Settings tab.
In the left navigation pane, go to Protocols > Network Monitoring > Link Monitor Configuration.
Modifying a Link Monitor Configuration Table entry
- Click the expand () Icon next to the entry you wish to modify.
- Edit the entry properties as required, see details below.
Creating a Link Monitor Configuration Table Entry
Click the Create Link Monitor Configuration ( ) icon at the top of the Link Monitor Configuration Table page.
Settings - Field Definitions
Monitored Peer Type
Specifies the type, either host or gatway, that the link is monitoring.
If the peer type is host, the ICMP Echo and Echo Reply is the the protocol used. If the peer is a gateway, the protocol is ARP request/reply.
Host Name
Specifies the address of the host to monitor. The entry must be in IPv4 format or the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the host being monitored. This field is only visible when Host is selected in the Monitored Peer Type select list.
Gateway IP Address
The IP address of the gateway. This field is only visible when Gateway is selected in the Monitored Peer Type select list.
Lync CAC Profile
Use this to select a pre-configured Lync CAC profile. The Lync CAC profile information is sent to the HQ Lync server once each five minutes and after performing an IP layer reroute following a failure (if configured).
Poll Period
Specifies the polling interval, in seconds, for testing the link status. The host or the nexthop gateway specified by HostIpAddress is probed once each specified interval.
Failed Polls for Down State
Specifies the number of consecutive failed polling attempts made against the host specified in Host IP Address field after which the host is declared to be in a down state. When the gateway is declared down, the associated IPsec tunnel is torn down.
Successful Polls for Up State
Specifies the number of unreplied or unsuccessful polls made against the host specified in Host IP Address field before declaring this gateway or host as service ready.
Associated IPsec Tunnels
Use this field to select a maximum of four pre-configured IPsec tunnels. Only visible when Gateway is selected in the Monitored Peer Type list box.
