Using the Easy Config wizard to configure the

Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
does not modify an existing configuration. The wizard simply adds the new configuration elements to the SBC.

 Easy Config interface includes a built-in, step-by-step configuration wizard that enables quick and easy deployment of the 
Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
  with a SIP Trunk from a Provider to an IP PBX. The
Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
 can be configured using the Easy Config wizard as described here.

The following SIP Trunks are supported:

  • ATT SIP Trunk
  • KDDI SIP Trunk
  • NTT DOCOMO Officelink
  • Other SIP Trunk
  • SoftBank ConnecTalk
  • SoftBank White Office
  • Telstra Enterprise SIP Connectg
  • Verizon SIP Trunk

 

NTT DOCOM Officelink, SoftBank ConnecTalk, SoftBank White Office, and Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect are supported in SBC Edge 1000-2000 only.

 

Step 1 - Select Scenario

Make sure the

Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
Easy Configuration wizard is running. Refer to Using the Easy Configuration Wizard.

  1. In the WebUI, click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, go to SBC Easy Setup > Easy Config Wizard. 
  3. Select the Application (SIP Trunk ↔ IP PBX). Specify the configuration scenario details based on the deployment, then click Next to move to Step 2. (Or, you click Cancel if you need to return to the main WebUI screen.)

Scenario – Field Definitions

Step 1

 

Application

Scenario Description

The scenario for which the configuration template is provided. In this case, select SIP Trunk ↔ IP PBX.

Type a short description for the SIP Trunk ↔ IP PBX setup.

This value will be prefixed to all SBC configuration elements that the Easy Config Wizard creates for this deployment.

Telephone Country

Click the country from which the SIP Trunk ↔ IP PBX originates.

Emergency Services

The E911 Elin number from the CompanyName field configured in Lync location services is used as the authoritative Callback Number for outgoing E911 calls, and is always the preferred configuration. Specifically, the Elin number takes precedence over any Callback Number configuration in the Lync setup. For more information, refer to Creating and Modifying Entries to Transformation Tables.

Defines the Emergency Services for outgoing numbers. For the purpose of this illustration above, Emergency Services is not selected. Field definitions are defined below.

Options:

  • ELIN Identifier
  • E911/E112
  • None

Emergency Callback Number 1

Specifies the Callback Number in string format. This field displays only when you select the ELIN Identifier or E911/E112 of Emergency Services.

Emergency Callback Number 2

Specifies the second Callback Number in string format. This field displays only when you select the ELIN Identifier or E911/E112 fields of Emergency Services.

PSAP Number

Defines the Public Safety Answering Point Number. Specify a valid entry of 1 - 127 characters.

SIP Properties

Specify the number of simultaneous SIP-to-Destination sessions required for the configuration.

Name (SIP Trunk)

Specifies the type of SIP trunk used for connection to the IP PBX. Valid options include the following SIP trunk types:

  • ATT SIP Trunk
  • KDDI SIP Trunk
  • NTT DOCOMO Officelink
  • Other SIP Trunk
  • SoftBank ConnecTalk
  • SoftBank White Office
  • Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect
  • Verizon SIP Trunk

The SIP Trunk selected determines the field options displayed in Step 2.

IP PBX Panel

Valid options:

  • Cisco CUCM
  • Other IP PBX
  • Avaya SM/CM

Step 2 – Configure SIP Details for Endpoint

Specify the scenario configuration details based on the provider and user endpoints, then click Next to move to Step 3. (Or, you can click Previous to return to the prior screen).

Other SIP Trunk – Field Definitions

These fields apply if you selected Other SIP Trunk in Step 1 - Select Scenario.

Other SIP Trunk

Border Element Server

Type the FQDN or IP address for the Session Border Controller service provider.

Protocol

Choose the IP protocol to use for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. Valid entries are UDP and TCP.

Port Number

The pre-defined SIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server.

Use Secondary Border Element Server

Enables or disables the secondary Session Border Controller service provider configured. 

Secondary Border Element Server

Specifies the Secondary Border Element Service provider. Valid entry: IP Address or FQDN. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Protocol 

Specifies the protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field displays only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Port Number

Specifies the Port Number used for sending and receiving messages between SBC and the Secondary Border Element server. This field displays only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Port Number

Specifies the Port Number used for sending and receiving messages between SBC and the Secondary Border Element server. This field displays only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

AT&T Simultaneous Ring Supported

Enables or disables support for the AT&T Simultaneous Ring service. Select Yes to enable or No to disable the service.

AT&T IP Toll Free

Enables/disables the AT&T Toll Free option. Valid options are: Enabled or Disabled.

IP Toll Free Access Number

The Toll Free Access Number tro use when the AT&T IP Toll Free option is enabled.

Host (IP PBX)

Host IP or FQDN.

Protocol

The Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Port Number

The IP PBX port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.

Use Secondary Server

Enable or Disable use of a secondary server.

SoftBank ConnecTalk - Field Definitions

These fields apply if you select SoftBank ConnecTalk in Step 1 - Select Scenario.

SoftBank ConnecTalk

Primary SIP Server

The host IP address or FQDN of the primary SIP server.

Secondary SIP Server

The host IP address or FQDN of the secondary SIP server.

The method to connect networks. This field has the following options: Routerless and Router.

Signaling/Media Source IP

The user-specified IP address for SIP signaling messages.

Gateway ID (Remote Authorization Entry)

The ID that authenticates with the router at the gateway of the network.

Gateway Password

The password that authenticates with the router at the gateway of the network.

Confirm Password

Re-enter the password for the router that serves as the network gateway.

From/To Header Host (SIP Profile and Contact Registrant Entry)

The IP or FQDN of the SIP Profile and Contact Registrant Table.

Contact Header URI

This field automatically generates using the Gateway ID at the From/To Header Host.

Host (IP PBX: Cisco CUCM)

The FQDN or IP Address of the host.

Protocol

The protocol that communicates with the Secondary Border Element Server. This field has the following options: UDP and TCP.

Port Number

The pre-defined IP PBX port number that sends and receives SIP messages. The default value is 5060.

Use Secondary Server

Enables or disables the use of a secondary server. This field has the following options:

  • Disabled
  • Enabled

Secondary Server Host

The FQDN or IP Address of the secondary server host. This field appears only if you enable Use Secondary Server.

Protocol

The protocol that communicates with the Secondary Border Element Server. This field has the following options: UDP and TCP. This field appears only if you enable Use Secondary Server.

Port Number

The pre-defined IP PBX port number that sends and receives SIP messages. The default value is 5060. This field appears only if you enable Use Secondary Server.

SoftBank White Office - Field Definitions

These fields apply if you selected SoftBank White Office in Step 1 - Select Scenario.

SoftBank White Office

WAN Link

Indicates the method to use for connecting networks. Options are: Routerless and Router. Upon selection of Routerless, the Easy Config displays the Signaling/Media Source IP field and the SIP Server field. On selection of Router, the Easy Config displays the SIP Server field only.

Signaling/Media Source IP

The user-specified IP addresses to use for SIP signaling messages. The Signaling/Media Source IP field does not display when the selected value for the WAN Link field is Router.

SIP Server

The host IP address or FQDN for the SIP server.

Gateway ID (Remote Authorization Entry)

The ID used for authenticating with the router at the gateway of the network.

Gateway Password

The password used for authenticating with the router at the gateway of the network.

Confirm Password

Re-entry of the password for the router serving as network gateway.

Address of Record URI

The public address that points to the domain for users, for use in the Contact Registrant Entry. For example, specify:  GatewayID@SIPServer.

Host

IP address or FQDN for the host.

Protocol

The Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Port Number

The pre-defined IP PBX port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.

Use Secondary Server

Enables or disables use of a secondary server.

Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect - Field Definitions

These fields apply if you selected Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect  in Step 1 - Select Scenario.

Telstra Enterprise SIP Connect Trunk

NAT Public Interface

The public interface used for Network Address Translation (NAT).

State

The state to use in configuring the outbound proxy for the Provider SIP Trunk. Options include: Australia Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Other.

Protocol and Port

Hard coded as UDP and Port 5060.

SIP Connect DNS IP

The IPv4 address used to access the DNS server in the Telstra domain.

SIP Connect Domain/Realm

The SIP Connect Domain or Realm to which the specified IP address will map.

Authentication User ID

The User ID for use in authentication.

Authentication Password

The password to use when authenticating with the User ID.

Confirm Password

The re-entered password for confirmation.

Trunk Pilot Number

The 9-digit pilot number Telstra assigned for use with the SIP Connect trunking service.

Host

IP or FQDN for the host.

Protocol

The Protocol to use for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Port Number

The IP PBX port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.

Use Secondary Server

Disables or enables use of a secondary server.

 

ATT SIP Trunk – Field Definitions

These fields apply if you selected ATT SIP Trunk in Step 1 - Select Scenario.

Border Element Server

The FQDN or IP address of the Session Border Controller service provider.

Protocol 

The IP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. Valid entry UDP or TCP.

Port Number

The SIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server.

Use Secondary Border Element Server

Enables or disables the secondary Session Border Controller service provider configured. 

Secondary Border Element Server

Specify the FQDN or IP address for the service provider's Secondary Border Element Service. Valid entry: IP Address or FQDN. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Protocol 

The Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Port Number 

The Port Number used for sending and receiving messages between SBC and the Secondary Border Element server. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Host

The IP address or FQDN for the host.

Protocol

The Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Port Number

The IP PBX port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.

Use Secondary Server

Option to use a secondary server.

KDDI SIP Trunk – Field Definitions

These fields apply if you selected KDDI SIP Trunk in Step 1 - Select Scenario.

KDDI SIP Trunk

 

SIP Server

The FQDN or IP address of the Session Border Controller service provider.

Protocol

The IP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. Valid entry UDP or TCP.

Port Number

The SIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server.

Called Prefix

Used for setting up transformation rules for the FMC service.

Address of Record URI

 Address of Record of the client that is registered on the SIP server.

Static Host

Address of Static Host. Valid options: FQDN[:port] or IP4 [:port] or [IP6]:port

Authentication ID

Specifies a user name to use in response to a challenge.

Enter Password

The password for the Authentication ID.

Confirm Password

Re-enter the password for the Authentication ID.

Host

Host IP or FQDN.

Protocol

The Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP.

Port Number

The IP PBX port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.

Use Secondary Server

Option to use a secondary server.

Verizon SIP Trunk – Field Definitions

These fields apply if you selected Verizon SIP Trunk in Step 1 - Select Scenario.

Verizon Managed Service

 

 

Border Element Server

The FQDN or IP address of the Session Border Controller service provider.

Protocol

The IP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Border Element Server. This value is fixed at UDP.

Port Number

The IP PBX port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.

Host

Host IP or FQDN.

Protocol

The Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP.

Port Number

The IP PBX port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.

Use Secondary Server

Option to use a secondary server.

 NTT DOCOMO Officelink – Field Definitions

These fields apply if you selected NTT DOCOMO Officelink in Step 1 - Select Scenario.

For an IP PBX as the user end point, Easy Configuration loads a generic template which follows the “National Numbering Plan” guidelines.

Office Link FOMA-R

The Host IP address of the SIP Server.

 Protocol

 The IP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the SIP Server. Default value: UDP.

Port Number

 The SIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the SIP Server. Default value: 5062.

CUG Domain Name

The FQDN of the SIP Server.

Host

Host IP or FQDN.

Protocol (IP PBX)

The Protocol used for communicating with the IP PBX. Valid entry: UDP or TCP.  

Port Number (IP PBX)

The IP PBX port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.

Use Secondary Server 

Option to add a secondary server. Valid entry: Enabled or Disabled.

Secondary Server Host

Host (FQDN or IP) used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Protocol (Secondary Server)

Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Border Element Server. Valid entry: TCP or UDP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Port Number (Secondary Server)

The SIP Server Port number used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the Secondary SIP Server. Default value: 5062. This field is available only when Use Secondary Border Element Server is Enabled.

Step 3 – Confirm and Submit Configuration

This steps displays a summary of the the configuration items from Step 1 and Step 2. Click Finish (to cancel the configuration, click Cancel).

This example displays a SIP ↔ IP PBX with a Verizon Managed Service Trunk.
