In the
Hot Swappable Behavior: A hot swappable component can be removed and replaced without any involvement on the part of the user. The appropriate alarms will be raised and automatically cleared by the system. The node continues to deliver service if it is active or provide protection if it is standby. The hot swappable behavior provides a simple, higher-performance, and more maintainable method of achieving autonomic behavior.
Refer to the specific FRU/CRU replacement instructions.
Hot Pluggable Behavior: A hot pluggable component can be removed or replaced when the system is in running condition. A certain level of user involvement is required to avoid any undesirable outcome. The node stops providing the service. Depending on the removed component or device, the BMC may immediately power down the remaining components. Removing a hot pluggable component must not damage the component or the any other component of the system.
Refer to the specific FRU/CRU replacement instructions.
